Acer, pretty much like any other laptop manufacturer, has different models for different markets, and today, we will evaluate the Acer Aspire E5-773, most precisely the Acer Aspire E5-773-579L model number in the UK, and the Acer Aspire E5-773-52V1 in Germany.
What to Expect from the Acer Aspire E5-773
The Aspire E series, which the E5-773 is part of, focuses in general daily use laptops which hardware slightly above average. Considering its 17.3″ screen, combined with it’s i5 processor from the latest generation of Intel processors, this laptop is suitable if you work with image editing programs like Photoshop, Adobe Illustrador, Corel Draw and others.
In its price category, but I wouldn’t call it a bargain, as there are several other models with similar prices delivering similar performance results and sharing some components that the E5-773 uses, especially the i5-6200u processor which is quite popular nowadays.
The main appeal of this Acer Aspire model is definitely owning a 17 inch laptop with a decent performance, especially for those who don’t have the need for buying an high-end laptop, such as those in the Acer Predator series. If you are interested in the Acer E5-773 for its 17.3 inch screen only, you might be interested in the Lenovo G70 series, which costs much less, but has a much modest performance and hardware.
Pros:
As mentioned above, having a processor from the latest generation of Intel processors, called Skylake combined with its 17 inch screen, which has a Full HD resolution, are the highlights for this model.
Cons:
The fact that its processor is a dual core, and not a quad core, might be a downside if you are a gamer, otherwise it is just fine. For it’s price category, the fact that it has an integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 video card is quite disappointing, as it would be much better to have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX powering this machine.
