If you are into gaming and simulators, you have probably have heard of Euro Truck Simulator 2, which is part of an exciting franchise produced the Czech company SCS Software. In this post we will analyse the system requirements for these game to determine what are the best laptops Euro Truck Simulator 2.

About the Game

If you like simulators you know that this market has been growing a lot in the past few years. From flight simulators o farm simulators, you can find a vast array of choices on this entertainment niche.

The Euro Truck Simulator 2 (often referred as ETS 2) is probably the most successful release by SCS software so far. This Czech company has a long tradition of simulation games, especially related to trucks. Other software released by this company have helped to build its reputation like the 18 Wheels of Steel and its latest release: American Truck Simulator.

This game allows you to drive different trucks from prestigious brands, transporting a variety of goods to be delivered around Europe. It also has a multiplayer version that has been growing steadily for the past year..

Laptop System Requirements fro Euro Truck Simulator 2

Since the game has been released in the January 2013 and it is not among the heaviest ones, the system requirements are quite low. That is mostly good news as you can buy a rather inexpensive laptop and be able to play this game with good graphic settings and high FPS.

According to SCS Soft website the recommended system requirements for Euro Truck Simulator 2 are: Windows 7/8 and a dual core processor with a frequency of 3.0 GHz. You should also have a a dedicated video card with at least 1GB memory, and a dedicated video card (GeForce GTS 450 or superior). You should also have at least 4GB RAM.

The GTS 450 is a mid-range graphics card released in Q3 2010 for desktops, and if we compare it on this ranking of video cards benchmark it sits in between the GeForce GTX 960M and the GeForce GTX 950M.

It is important to stress though, that these the settings from SCS displayed here are for Desktops, and are the recommended settings, not the minimum. So, if you have a processor that has lower frequency than 3.0 GHz, and a dedicated video card that has a slighty inferior benchmark than the GTS 450, you will still be able to play the game decently.
