With the recent advances in mobile technology, phones are getting much faster, lighter and to some extent more battery efficient (yet that is not always the case). Advantages of Cheap 5 inch Android Phones
In 2016 it’s possible to get a decent 5 inch android phone for a fraction of what it cost just 2 years ago, and considering that 5 inches screen are not necessarily small, if you get a mobile phone with a 5 inch screen or bigger, you will probably have no need to buy a tablet, unless you are really into gadgets.
Android phones have a vast array of free (and paid) apps which are by far superior in quantity of those available for iOS or Windows Phone, since updating apps for download on Play Store are considerably cheaper and easier for developers than to do it on the app store.
Disadvantages of Cheap 5 inch Android Phones
The biggest disadvantage of buying a cheap android phone is certainly its battery life, which normally has less mAh than more expensive models, but since they have less processing capacity, this difference is not so critical.
Cheaper phone manufacturers might also be not so well distributed like Apple or Samsung items, therefore it might be that you can experience various results when needing to contact their costumer support. However, Apple recently made the headlines of worldwide newspapers with their Error 53, an error that apparently happens if you try to fix your phone outside an Apple authorized repair point.
In my opinion, the advantages of owning a cheap 5 inch smartphone are by far greater than the eventual disadvantages they might have.
