This the second CHUWI device we are reviewing on Value Nomad(the first one can be check here), and once again CHUWI is doing a great job. CHUWI hails from Southern China and was established in 2004. Its first successful product was an MP3 player. The company is headquartered in Shenzhen, a city that expanded quickly after it become a Special Economic Zone in China.
The main focus of the company are mid to high-end tablet, just like the device featured in this review.
CHUWI Hi10 Pro: Overview
The CHUWI Hi10 Pro gather a number of interesting aspects from different devices, in an extremely versatile 2 in 1 Utrabook tablet.
Apart from the usual characteristics of a tablet, you can also work on this keyboard with a detachable keyboard and a magnetic pen. This provides a fully flexible experience to the end user, which can quickly switch the tablet mode according to his needs.
This tablet PC also versatile when it comes to its operational system. It offers both the Android 5.1 and Windows 10 OS. While I personally prefer Windows 10, many similarly priced tablets come with Android. This CHUWI tablet you will be able to enjoy the advantages of both operational systems.
The battery capacity of this 2 in 1 tablet is of 6500 mAh, allowing the device to run up to 6 hours unplugged, according to the manufacturer.
CHUWI Hi10 Pro: Design
The CHUWI Hi10 Pro is not only versatile with its 2 in 1 concept, it is also beautiful and sturdy. It has an all-metal body built using advanced CNC techniques. Its aluminium alloy helps the device to be pretty light, with a weight of just 562 grams.
The tablet is just 8.5 mm thin, and very easy to carry if you want a device for traveling for example. If you want to use it with the keyboard, the attaching process is simple and quick.
The Intel Atom Cherry Trail x5-Z8350
The Intel Atom processor on this laptop guarantees a smooth use with both Android and Windows 10. The Cherry Trail x5-Z8350 chip was released in 2016 by Intel and is a quad core, low voltage processor aimed at tablets and similar devices.
Its base frequency is of 1.44 GHz and a maximum burst of 1.92 GHz. This 2 in 1 tablet PC also comes with 4 GB DDR3L RAM. Its quad core processor and DDR3L RAM combined will this processor are a great hardware setup, especially considering the device overall price.
Storage and Connectivity
The connectivity and storage capacity that this tablet offer are a great value for the money, with enough ports and plenty of space.
In terms of storage, the CHUWI Hi10 Pro has 64 GB of eMMC capacity, which I consider more than enough for a tablet. You can also expand it using a micro SD card.
This tablet comes with an USB 3.0 Type C port, allowing optimal speeds for file transfers. Apart from that it also has an micro HDMI and micro USB port and a TF card slot.
Display
CHUWI tablets usually have great display settings, and the Hi10 Pro is no exception. It comes with 10.1 IPS display allowing the user to experience detailed images at Full HD resolution. It is ideal for watching movies and using streaming services.
Verdict
The CHUWI Hi10 Pro is the optimal device for those willing to work and play on a reliable, fast tablet. I would also recommend purchasing the its detachable keyboard, so you can have full flexibility while using this tablet.
