The Acer Aspire series has been around for many years, and it can be quite confusing to determine if your Acer Aspire model is good or modern, as there are hundreds of them, released on different dates. The Aspire E5-521 is however one of the most recent releases by Acer, and its compact profile combined to its good choice of hardware in terms of cost and peformance, have rendered it an excellent choice for buyers searching for a new, budget laptop.

Apart from saving a significant amount of money buying a laptop under 500 dollars, the Acer E5-521 delivers reliable benchmark results, and with its storage options of 500GB or 1TB hard drive disks, it positions itself considerably ahead of almost all Chromebook models, which rely mostly on Cloud storage.
If we start analyzing the hardware profile of this Acer laptop, its AMD E2-6110 processor is probably the first component of interest. It is a quad core processor released by AMD in 2014, and if we bare in mind its benchmark results from CPUBoss we can see it has a slight advantage over processors on its category, such as the A4 500 and the Celeron N3050.
