Lenovo is one of my favorite laptop brands, as they usually have a good hardware setup and affordable prices. The company with headquarters in the US and China has recently released its first laptops using Intel Kaby Lake processors. The Lenovo Ideapad 310 (model number 80TV00BJUS) is the perfect example of this, being an affordable laptop featuring the latest generation of Intel chips.

This version of the Lenovo 310 is powered by the i3-7100U processor, part of the above mentioned Kaby Lake generation. The seventh generation of Intel processors brings improvements in terms of processing speed, and is definitely recommended if you are buying a new laptop.

The i3-7100U is a dual core processor, with four threads, and has a base frequency of 2.40 GHz. It was released in the Q3 2016, and has a significantly higher benchmark than the i3-6100U, from the Skylake (previous) generation of Intel chips.

Apart from its processor, this laptop also has a great hardware setup for its price. It comes with 4GB DDR4 RAM, which is more than enough for fast internet browsing and most routine tasks on Windows 10.
